The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is a leader in native plant education, restoration, propagation, and scientific research, in addition to being a beautiful public garden on the central coast of California.
The Garden set out to rebrand themselves and brought me on as editor to manage the writing style and implement the new brand voice, starting first with the overhaul of their website. I am also the editor/cowriter of their biannual Ironwood magazine, in addition to editing/writing seasonal fundraising materials, pamphlets, brochures, case studies, signage, gallery shows, and more. I collaborate with several departments, Garden leadership, and the scientists on staff to set the appropriate tone and ensure accuracy. It is a privilege and delight to collaborate on such an important mission to prioritize native plants and secure biodiversity.
